One Example of not Understanding Jokes: I guess Jacobs new teacher is a real joker, but unfortunately Jacob doesn't get the humor and he takes things that his teacher says literally. Jacob asked me what in-school detention was. After I explained what it was he said that he lost at the game Simon Says - he will get an all day in-school detention. I had to explain that it was just a joke that his teacher was just kidding. Jacob if often mixed up when people are just kidding.


September 10, 2008 There has been 0 problems so far in school-in the lunch room, classroom, anywhere. Jacob comes home from school smiling, and without that big attitude he had. He seems pleased with school, and is handling everything beautifully! Barring he hasn't had any homework to balk about, and Im sure the days have been light so far. However, he has brought home is planner, a good sign that he is keeping organized, AND it is filled out too! When Jacob is happy, Im happy.


September 9, 2008 Psychicatrist Appt. Jacob walked in the docs office smiling, and the doc remarked how he must be feeling well, which is very true. He kept him steady on the same medication dose and return in 1 month for a review.
