I am recording my 12 year old sons experiences as we progress down the Aspergers Road. Included in this diary are his trials and tribulations that are quite common for a lot of high functioning Autistic kids. You will read about Jake's issues that come up every day, and what it's like to be a parent of an Aspie.

5th Grade - The First Week of School
Jacobs first few days went terrific! All except one problem with the bus the first 2 days. The bus driver dropped him after school blocks away, it wasn't even on our same street. Thank goodness Jacob knew where to walk to find our street and house! After a phone call to the school and a note to the teacher, it was all straightened out on the 3rd day- whew! I am so happy for Jake he felt comfortable, and was happy, and handled it wonderfully! All his hard work during the summer and the transition steps we followed was a complete success!
